Saying "See Ya Later" to Rexburg Went a Little Like This:

When I continue my schooling a couple years from now, I will be entering my senior year. SENIOR YEAR. That's CRAZY! And so exciting!!

I'm so grateful for all the crazy memories I have thanks to Rexburg, Idaho. I'm also grateful for cameras and journals. Yes. I cannot believe I've had the privilege of living there for three whole years. I must be getting old. I've met some of the strangest, happiest, most intriguing, most spiritual, most influential human beings in this cute little town. And when I come back, I'll meet even more people, and that's kinda weird to think about.

^^My dear friend and roommate Kate got engaged on my last day! AHH!!^^

It was a lot harder saying "bye" than I thought it was going to be. I loved my job, I loved my roommates, I loved my classes. Everything was going greater than it's ever been. And I kept thinking about how "it's only 18 months" and "this will be here when I come back" and "thousands of people do this allllll the time." Friends, whether these things are all true or not, it doesn't really help. I met a great deal of people these past couple of semesters that I might never see again! And that seriously broke me! On my last day, I cried forever. I even cried for most of the trip to Utah on the way to the airport. No bueno. So many emotions. And I had never felt SOOOO loved by such a large group of people. They don't even know me all that well but they treated me like they had known me for years. I'm literally the luckiest lady in the world to call these people my friends.

But I know that more adventure awaits me in the Dominican Republic where I'm going to experience things I've never experienced before and meet people that I'm going to love so so so so much.

So Rexburg, stay precious. I love you! I'll see ya soon.

Shakes, Sponges, and Smiles

I still feel like everything is just nutso-kulutzo since I've been called to serve. I feel like I'm not prepared at ALL but at the same time I just wanna go like. tomorrow. I feel like I have a LONG way to go before I'm off to the motherland to bring people closer to Christ. Yet it's just around the corner. Everything is just crazy, but I love it so much. So that's what's been on MY mind lately.

Besides that, life's been just peachy. Working a whole bunch, mostly at Sammy's. I really wanna quit my retail job HAHA. The time will come soon enough. School's finally being mean to me, and that's pretty annoying, but I guess that's included in the College Package I paid a bajillion dollars for. Dating isn't a thing anymore because I'm officially a "pre-mi" (pre-missionary) and no one wants anything to do with that, which is totally understandable. So there's that. Netflix has helped me catch up with The Office, which I LOVE OH SO MUCH. I'm almost up to the last season! I'm going to cry.

So yeah, life is good, hakuna matata, etc etc etc etc and here are some pichurrs via iphone. enjoy.

^^Meet my friend Matt. He's been one of my favorite people lately.
No seriously, my job's pretty great.
PLEASE EXCUSE ME WHILE I DIE.
Pi Day was insane in the membrane because our pie shakes were half off. INSANE.
Sometimes, my roommate/best friend and I don't wanna get out of bed.
and then other times, we go out on dates and devour froyo.
....meet Christy.
....and Ethan.
For a Relief Society activity, we learned how to hand-knit scarves!
One day, we found the sun. and we enjoyed it very much.
Meet Jaren; we like Jamba and coloring.
Favorite quote of the week^^

Have a wonderful week, amigos!

Ice Cuevas

A few amigos and I went to the ice caves the day before Thanksgiving! [supah late post. I know. fight me.] It was seriously so much fun. It was also my first time going. You have to do a lot of crawling and sliding and extra-cautious-walking so you don't fall and drop your thun thun thuns.

At the end of the cave [which took about 20 minutes to get through] there was a huge ice slide! All of these pictures were taken via iphone, so the quality isn't the greatest, which makes me sad because I really wish I could have done the caves some justice.

Oh well. Maybe one day I'll own a fancy shmancy camera. (;

Also, I donated plasma [yup, I'm that college kid] right before we went and I only ate some bread...so I overheated and almost fainted towards the end on the way out of the caves. Buuuuuut I said a little prayer and hakuna matata, kiddos I was out safe and sound! Then we got some Taco Bell before I went into work teehee (:

THIS WAS ON THE CEILING WHATTTT.

We also found some pretty legit graffiti.

What's a cave day without some LIBERTY?!

Idaho, you've done it yet again. I love you.

cray

So, I had the craziest week last week, children. Like FORRILLLLL. So much stress.
But it's a new week and I will start if off correctly....
With an all-nighter.
Yup, it's that time of the semester. Staying up all night doing homework, yahoo! And, I have to wait up at 6 to sign up for classes, too. I have it all planned out and it should be pretty fun! 15 credits, 5 classes, one online class, and no classes on Friday. BOOM.

We had snow on Tuesday, which was pretty fun. We took advantage of the first official snowfall of the semester by having a snowball fight and making snow angels. 'Twas a good time. All the days after that though, were GLORIOUS. Seriously, perfect sweater weather.

Also, my wonderful friend Danielle came to visit from Vegas this weekend, and it was awesome having her here. I MISS YOU ALREADY, DANIELLE.

But yeah. This past week took a toll on me physically and emotionally. There's so much to decide and so much to think and pray about. I'm so grateful for the friends and family I have, and for the opportunity to pray to my Heavenly Father.

Also, don't forget to pray for the people in the Philippines. So many lives were lost and so many people are missing, and they need our prayers more than ever.

But yeah, here's more stuff I'm grateful for:

CINCO: Snow

SEIS: Food (West coast is changing me...)

SIETE: Movies

OCHO: Friends

NUEVE: Books (Literally my favorite of all time)

DIEZ: The Beach (WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I MISS YOU, BEACH)

Thanks for stopping by, little ones! Remember to give thanks, always!
