What I Realize Every Time I Go Home

+ It's much sunnier than Rexburg, Idaho

+ It's much more humid than Rexburg, Idaho

+ I always end up going to Dillard's with my mom, at least once

+ I play trains with Elijah

+ Eli is growing abnormally fast and he's way tall for his age

+ There's always something to reorganize in the house

+ Chris and I quote tv shows and movies like no other

+ Chris and I laugh at everything because we stopped growing at 12

+ I get re-acquainted with my super comfy, super huge bed, and I never wanna leave it

+ I eat my mami's cooking

+ I realize my diet in Rexburg consists of Taco Bell, cereal, and Coke

+ I actually did not make it to the beach while I was home (tearssssssssss)

+ But I did go to Disney World, and it was magical

+ I love driving

+ I don't love driving with my parents in the car

+ My hair gets special treatment by mommabear

+ I get tan....er

+ I get to jump in a pool, even when it's overcast

+ My dad makes me laugh more than anyone, and he doesn't even have to try

+ I wanna record and photograph everything my brothers do

+ I wanna play and hold every baby and child in my ward on Sundays

+ It feels amazing to open the pantry and fridge and find a BUNCH of food you didn't have to pay for

+ I know all the radio stations

+ It's weird. It's just weird being home after being on your own; frustrating at times

+ But in the end, I'm happy. so so so happy

Pumpkin Time

I love pumpkin-flavored everything. I mean. Who doesn't, am I right?

Last Friday (late post...yeah I know. come at me, bro) my lady-friends and I had a ladies' night! We went and got pumpkins at Albertson's because Rexburg doesn't have a legit pumpkin patch...lame. Except not really that lame because we had a blast. We carved and painted our little orange babies and to be honest...I didn't finish mine...so that's why you won't see a picture of the finished product just yet...

But the reason I didn't finish it was because after that we went LATIN DANCING. Ahh, favorite part of the night, for sure. Me encanta bailar. I miss watching my parents dance around in the kitchen. Sadly though, my cute uncoordinated white friends don't like it as much as I do...which is fine, I suppose. This just means I need to find new Latin-dancing friends. Any takers? Any? I will literally take anyone.....please. I have to remind myself I'm brown every once in a while.

  (just for the record, I freaking LOVE all of my friends, no matter what color they are, or how badly they dance).

Anyway.

After that we went to the cheap theater to see a movie called The Haunted Swing, produced here in Rexburg by a student here. 'twas pretty bad....it made me laugh a ton....but it did made me jump a few times...and, I recognized like half the cast soooo that's pretty cool, go Rexburg!

So that was my Friday. ha. It's definitely Wednesday right now. I'll get better....eventually. Thanks for stopping by, pumpkin! Have a lovely Halloweeeeeeeeeen!

The Struggle.

+ working out every morning.
+ eat what I want...or strive to be fit and beautifoe....ugh, literally a daily thing with me.
+ procrastinating homework every.day.
+ going to bed at a decent hour.
+ shopping for a phone/phone plan. (I seriously need to make a decision like. today).
+ having curly hair...so hard to manage. I see all my cute little straight-haired roommates and they get to wash and curl their hair everyday lookin' cute and I'm just sitting here putting my poof up in a bun because I just don't wanna put in time to tame the mane.
+ not having a car. I don't want to make the payments for one yet so I haven't started saving for one yet...........but dang, it'd be nice to have one sometimes.
+ being so far away from the beach. Oh, how my heart misses you.
+ being patient with some people.
+ writing in my journal every single day...it was WAY easier during the summer time!
+ deciding whether or not to serve a mission...(story for another time, kiddos).
+ being a poor college kid.
+ being humble.
+ finding a fashion internship in the oh-so-lovely New York City....wish me luck.

Guysssssss I have it sooooo harddddddddddddd.

KIDDING. I know I don't. I'm just being a big brat and looking at the negative things in my life right now, when in actuality, I am so incredibly blessed. I'm healthy, I have a loving family, and lots of close, sweet friends, I'm receiving a higher education in the greatest country in the world, and God gives me a reason to smile and laugh every single day. The list could go on forever, but I'll just stop now and show you some pictures of my week thus far. Sorry for the rant, it had to happen. But it won't happen often, I promise.
